Turkey’s FM Holds Sideline Meetings at US Board of Peace Gathering

(MENAFN) Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Friday conducted separate high-level discussions while attending the inaugural session of the Board of Peace in the United States.

Fidan met with Cambodia’s Prime Minister Hun Manet in Washington, DC, according to the Turkish Foreign Ministry, though no details from the closed-door conversation were released.
In another private session, Fidan held talks with his Vietnamese counterpart, Le Hoai Trung, but specifics of the discussion were not disclosed.

These engagements align with Türkiye’s broader efforts to expand its strategic, economic, and diplomatic presence in the Asia-Pacific region. Through initiatives like the “Asia Anew Initiative,” the country aims to strengthen regional partnerships, boost trade, and enhance participation in regional organizations to foster cooperation across one of the world’s most dynamic areas.
