Turkey coordinates rescue with Georgia, Azerbaijan after plane crash
According to reports, Guler spoke with Azerbaijani Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov and Chief of General Staff Karim Valiyev, as well as Georgian Defense Minister Irakli Chikovani, to coordinate joint efforts in the aftermath of the tragedy.
Earlier in the day, a Turkish C-130 transport aircraft traveling from Azerbaijan to Türkiye went down in Georgian territory.
The Turkish Defense Ministry confirmed that the plane was carrying 20 personnel, including members of the flight crew, and that search and rescue operations were continuing in collaboration with regional authorities.
Later, the ministry announced that "Georgian search and rescue teams reached the wreckage of the plane at 5 pm," noting that the area had been secured for detailed examination by Türkiye’s crash investigation team.
